One of Malaysia's most anticipated entrepreneurship events, E-Nation Conference, is back this 2020.

Organised by the Malaysian Global Innovation & Creativity Centre (MaGIC) for a second consecutive year, the nationwide event expects to bring together entrepreneurs, innovators, regulators, investors, policy makers and industry leaders from all over the country. 

E-Nation will be held from 20-23 October 2020, and aims to connect 1,000 participants from across the startup ecosystem with 65 speakers and moderators in developing a sustainable innovation-driven entrepreneurship ecosystem for the nation.

Among the notable speakers are Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation Hon. Khairy Jamaluddin, former New Zealand Prime Minister Helen Clark, former France Minister of SMEs, Innovation and Digital Economy Fleur Pellerin, Founder and Chairman of The X Prize Peter H. Diamandis, Executive Director & CEO Air Asia Group Tan Sri Dr. Tony Fernandes, Country Head Google Malaysia Marc Woo, Group VP of Marketing and Founding CMO Grab Cheryl Goh and many more

This year’s theme, Propelling a Resilient Economy, is propped by three pillars – Embracing Change, Enabling Technology and Empowering Societies.


“COVID-19 has accelerated the need for innovation and created game-changing opportunities for the nation to bounce back and establish economic resilience via innovation and creativity,” said Dzuleira Abu Bakar, CEO of MaGIC.

With physical distancing protocols to adhere to, this year’s E-Nation will be fully virtual.

The emphasis on an innovation-driven economy has been acknowledged by the Government, who recently launched the RM100 million National Technology and Innovation Sandbox (NTIS) and RM10 million Social Impact Matching Grant.

“We also want to have a strong alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals to close the socio-economic gap as well as encourage Do Good Solutions,” she said.
